Privacy Policy

White Paper does not collect any data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no servers. The developer never receives your photos, videos, files or anything about how you use the app.

What stays on your device

Everything you add is encrypted on your iPhone before it is saved, with a key derived from your passkey and your unlock pattern. It never leaves your device except inside your own iCloud or computer backups, where it remains encrypted.

Passkeys

Your passkey is created and kept by the password manager you choose, such as Apple Passwords or 1Password, under that provider's own privacy policy. White Paper only asks it for an encryption key when you unlock.

Network use

White Paper itself makes no network requests. iOS checks this website, through Apple's servers, to confirm the app may use its passkeys. If you choose to show a photo's location on a map, map tiles for that area are loaded from Apple Maps.

Permissions

Camera and microphone access is used only to take photos and videos straight into the app. Photo library access is used only to remove originals from your library after you import them, when you ask it to.
